Do we need rain boots for cruise excursion?
We going on the Princess cruise to Alaska soon.

If there is no rain in the forecast and your excursions are helicopter to glacier and Skagway train, would you pack rain boots?!

Do we need them for glacier dog sledding..?

For me boots are fashion. If cute and functional yeah. If just functional nah.

Definitely not personally, too bulky. I packed them and regretted it only because they took up an awkward amount of space in my bag and I never needed them.

I did bring two pairs of gym shoes in case it rained and one pair got really soaked but I definitely didn’t need boots

We have waterproofed tennis shoes...3 coats of spray. Obviously won’t work on the ones with lot of mesh and they will give you boots to wear over your sneakers for dog sledding.

We took a plane ride to land on a glacier I wore sneakers and they provided us with special boots that fit over our sneakers so we could walk on the glacier.

I also waterproofed our sneakers before we left.

I never wore the boots I brought with me, also the dog sledding that we did no boots were needed.

No need. We did the Glacier/dog sled and they give you shoe covers.

We also did the Skagway thing and did not need boots.

It rained on us in Juneau but we didn’t get our shoes wet.
