Good Thai Food in Andorra
I lived in Asia for well over a year and developed a serious crush on the food there. Now in Andorra and Spain we get great food! But not so much asian. This place is a good find for someone that appreciates asian food. It's in the Caldea centre, which is pretty stark modern glass structure you can see towering over Escaldes, so it's easy enough to find! There is a faint swimming pool smell when you get in, but that receides on the higher floors. The restaurant is located on the top large floor (not the tower), it has and outside terrace for eating and drinking - you will probably need to reserve if you want this. Our server was a very efficient and spoke excellent English - he was from Thai descent but had been schooled at a British School in Barcelona. We went with our 8 year old - she's quite adventreous with her palate, there were skewers for her (2 plates!), and she was more than happy to eat some of my sizzling entrecote, as the very spicy sauce comes seperately. I had a 12 Euro shrimp salad to start, it was light, spicy and excellent. Reminded my of Thailand that's for sure. My wife prefers crab, but was disappoint that her's was tinned crabmeat and fish sticks. This didn't bother me, nor the mayonase it came with - so I had most of that one too. There are a lot of Japanese dishes too - I sadly didn't try any of those. This is a very different restaurant from most in Andorra. If you missing Thai food then the light. fresh food here will be to your taste.
