Is 3100Lei a month enough to live in Bucharest?
I have a quick question, I have a job proposition in Bucarest and the pay is 3100Lei net, with your experience, can you tell me if it's enough for have a decent life here? I mean take an appart, food, some extras, etc... Thanks in advance for your reply

No. Definitely no. Apartment is half that without bills; food and drinks a third. Think transportation, gym, occasionally going out, traveling within Romania... you'll have a problem. If you share an apartment you could bring that cost down but I'd still say it's far from ideal.
I don't know where you're moving from and what your qualifications are, but chances are you can do much better than that income-wise.

It's enough to live off of but that's it. It's enough for rent on a studio or a modest apartment, paying bills, public transportation and eating and that's it, just the necessities.
I'd say close to half the city lives off less than that. It's enough to survive on if you don't have a family and don't mind either living in a studio or sharing an apartment

I think it is enough if you're young and can share/live further out of the city. I live 100 km out of Bucharest and 3100 lei is a BIG salary here. It depends what you are used to though.
