Best restaurant for food in Andorra
As a local, and being married to a foodie wife who excels at cooking at home, and thus needs superlative excellence when we go out, I can 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for simply the best food in Andorra. It's a bit dated the decor, with wooden tables and chairs and doily curtains. Parking is difficult (although we got lucky with a spot right outside), it is hard to find; tucked away in some back street, and there are any views (that you might expect in a mountain city). But that's where the niggles end. You will be well fed. Top quality ingredients cost money, so this is not cheap - but it compares well to top end Borda restaurants that are common in Andorra. Friendly service, and family run, cosy place with just 12, four-seater tables. You can see into the kitchen which is a bonus for those with a tendency to paranoia, but rest assured many many visitors to this place come away satisfied. We had figs with jamon and fois gras - was the best dish; so delicate, and in-season local mushrooms to start. Followed by quails and my wife had cod - all done to perfection. Bill was 100EUR including a 20 euro bottle of wine and a dessert to share. We've been to many of top restaurants in Andorra, and this one is easily the best. Something to note: The waiter told us they moving location to Escaldes (other side of town). Let's hope the quality is retained!
