Lahore Zoo: Great Place to Visit with Families & Kids Lahore Zoo Review

Lahore Zoo is the only zoo in Lahore and a very interesting place for children and grown-ups alike. Embellished with colorful and large animal’s murals, Lahore Zoo is located near Bagh-i-Jinnah or Lawrence Garden which is accessible from Mall Road. The Zoo was established in 1872 and included in one of the biggest zoos of the South Asia as per the history which is inscribed at the big gateway. It is replete with precious and infinite species of birds, animals, reptiles and plantation. The very rare classes of lions, elephants, monkeys, leopards, giraffes and tigers can also be seen in this Zoo. The adjacent garden itself has most fascinating kinds of plants and trees that excites you as much as animals. Some of them are believed dated back to 16th century. Lahore Zoo is also believed to be the world’s oldest zoo after Vienne and London zoo. Every animal and reptile have its own natural habitat in the zoo and candidly care by the management. The exotic flora and fauna are spraying over 100- trees with more than 100 species which in itself a great treasure for the zoo. Locals and tourists admire this place thoroughly and a huge crowd of people can be observed there every time particularly kids enjoy this place very much and have fun with small animals. Lahore Zoo also has Safari Park which is situated at Raiwind Road almost 30 km from this zoo. Lahore Zoo Safari also housed different varieties of animals such as peafowl, Bengal Tiger, Ostrich and mute Swan, Silver pheasant and much more.

Note: there is no charges or fee to enter Lahore Zoo as Lahore Government has waived entrance fee at all green spaces in the city.
