View is better than the climb Mount Popa Review

Mount Popa is a traditional day trip from Bagan, Myanmar. We were making this day trip when traveling from Bagan to Kalaw in October 2016. The view of the extinct volcano with a temple complex on top is stunning to see from a distance. However the climb to the temple itself was a bit disappointing. A lot of locals were begging on the stairs on the way to the top asking for a donation for cleaning. Also the temple itself wasn’t worth the climb in my opinion. I preferred the view of the mountain itself from a distance.
