Eyes bigger than my tummy!
The first time I visited this cafe, I was, unusually, on my own and had some time to myself. I had a book and thought I would treat myself to lunch. I received a warm welcomed and managed to squeeze in as they were really busy with groups and couples having lunch. I looked at the menu and was torn between the soup, savoury bagel and cake, so I decided to have all three. Oh, and a big coffee. The soup arrived and it was delicious, the bagel arrived and it was huge. I was beginning to regret the cake order. However, I managed to eat it all and didn't bother with dinner that night! The cake choice was difficult as they had such a variety. The cafe has beautiful artwork on the walls by local artists and other gifts for sale. The seating is very comfortable and it's the type of place you just want to sit, relax and chill out. I did feel that I couldn't do that as it was so busy! The cafe is open in the evening, serving a different menu but you need to book well in advance to get a table. It's not the type of place you go in with muddy boots or cycling gear, it's a bit more upmarket. Think ladies who lunch!
