Forest Karaoke and Fun Time In Pilke Science Centre
Pilke Science Centre wasn’t anything I excepted. I got free ticket (usually admission costs 7€ or less) and day of nothing to do in Rovaniemi so I decided to give it a go. Firstly, I was the only one there. Like literally I spend about one hour in this museum located in one big room and saw no one except the two museum workers. It may have had something to do with the fact that it wasn’t tourist season and it was weekday but still, it was odd. Nonetheless, I had fun. Science Centre is more for children than adults BUT if you want to learn about Finnish forest in fun interactive way this place is for you. I am 21 years old but had fun trying some of the things even if alone. There was even forest karaoke but I didn’t dare to try it because I was alone. In my opinion the best part of this museum was its design. I got amazing photos because the inside architecture is just plainly beautiful and the green/brown colors make you feel like you are in real forest. This is not for everyone but if you have free time in Rovaniemi I recommend it. And the staff were super nice so ask them to help you if you don’t know how to use some of the science tools. They have also English introductions but some of the things don’t have proper guides even in Finnish.
