Life-changing experience! Kilimanjaro Summit Review

I summited Kilimanjaro in September 2012. It was my not only my first experience in Africa but also my first trekking/mountain experience. I can truly say the successful attempt and witnessing the sun rise over the plains was a life-changing event. Ever since I’ve started mountaineering. The hardest part of the Kilimanjaro climb is dealing with the altitude. Getting to 5895 meters in only a few days is quite fast, so there is a big chance you suffer from altitude sickness. My advice: take the longest route possible for success.
