Can I go to church in Japan?
We are going on our first trip to Japan, looking forward to the site and sounds and foods. We are quite a religious couple and were wondering if it was possible to attend mass there. Any personal experiences from similar travelers?

Although Shinto and Buddhism are the major religions there are over 1.400,000 Christians in Japan with churches in most towns. However, few services are in English. For the times of Protestant. Catholic, Greek and Russian Orthodox. Muslim and Jewish services, I would recommend you look at the English-language newspapers or inquire at the local Tourist Information Center - or even just knock on the door!
