        • It's one of the seven wonders of the world and is truly a gem. However, I do have some pro-tips for your next visit to Taj, to make it a more comfortable journey. 1. NEVER & I mean it, never visit it during weekends or any public holiday for that matter. The sheer number of people and the long serpentine queues can drive even the best of us crazy. 2. Take the South Gate. Now, entry to Taj is through its various and though all of them are crowded, the South Gate is still competitively less crowded and you can get in quicker (comparatively). 3. Don't listen to any of those so-called guides and agents, who'll claim to get you in without standing in any line for a few quick bucks. Not only is it morally wrong but the public also gets REALLY angry at this sort of behaviour. Stand in the queue like everyone else and try to soak in all the history & diversity of the place. 4. This one is for foreigners. Please be very aware of the people who'll try to con you by promising something or the other. DON'T listen to anyone of them. Try to explore the place on your own (as much as you can) & when in doubt ask the authorities for directions or any help; they're in abundance over there and are very helpful.
        • We went to see the sunrise but instead there was a heavy fog. This added a surreal element to the start of our visit and possibly reduced the number of people there making it a quiet reflective place. That is other than the mausoleum where inevitably most visitors ignored the signs requesting quiet. Later in the morning the fog lifted to picture perfect day. The museum was small but better labelled than others here. The surprise for me was the garden setting. This is a world heritage site and one of the wonders of the world. Beyond that, what further can be added.
        • No doubt one of the wonders of the world.. But the people sitting on the other end of the ticket booth was extremely rude. U can't expect tourists to give u exact change. And being courteous, to tourist who travels long distance to get the beauty of this marvel, won't charge u some extra penny. Apart from this I guess it is well maintained monument. Wid enough security personnel to ensure the safety of the tourist.  A must visit for everyone.. The intricate carvings and design is so soothing to the eye. Best if u visit early morning or during dawn....
        • Ever since I was a little kid, whenever I think about India I think about Taj Mahal! I have always wanted to visit it and I finally made my dream come true and I can't even describe the feeling I had when I was there! The amount of the incredible handmade details on the white marble is absolutely mind-blowing, not to even mention the story behind it which I advise you to get yourself an authorized guide to tell you all about this world wonder because they will offer you more detailed information than you will ever know. You simply can't visit India without visiting Taj Mahal!
        • Taj Mahal: It is such a wonder. Every one should be here at least once in your life. The feel it gives is awesome. A fresh breeze while you stand over the cold white marbles right under the warm sun⛅, near to the bank of yamuna, it is a travellers heaven. It is nice to rest there thinking the past, the creation of the monument. By the way you keep safe from the locals and local products available nearby.

As a public monument , I don't believe the government has the moral authority to hike entry rates (beyond revenue requirement ) to weed out "Disinterested crowd" which is just code word for poor people . This is not a luxury 5 star hotel .
