    The restaurant offers a wide range of beers and wines. For food lovers, Pizza Roma Café is a perfect venue to enjoy great Jordanian meals such as the Mansaf which is the National dish, Makloubeh and some great Baba Ganoush among many others.

    The top terrace of the café offers spectacular view of the Roman Theatre that provides an amazing venue to spend time with friends and family. The restaurant offers free Wi-Fi to its customers.

      • Roman Theatre

        The Roman Theatre is a popular site in Jordan, a perfect location for sightseeing with a capacity of 6,000 seats. It is located in the heart of the city of Amman previously known as Philadelphia. Roman theatre is in close proximity to the popular Hashemite Square. The city was a centerpiece of the ancient city and it greatly influenced modern settled in Amman during the 19thcentury.

        The Amman’s Roman Amphitheatre is an interesting place to visit characterised by several art galleries. The theatre offers an amazing viewing from the top of the building. Many people use the site for advertising and shooting of various movies.

        The most suitable time to visit the landmark is early morning before it gets too hot to tour around. Amman Theatre was constructed back in the second century during the reigns of Antonius Pius (AD 138-61) and Marcus Aurelius (161-180 AD). In 1957.The theatre had three main horizontal sections referred to as diazomata.

        Side entrances referred to as paradoi were found on the ground level, one led to the stage while the other led to the orchestra.

        In the ancient times the Roman dignitaries and other superior persons would sit on the uppermost seats on the theatre other than sitting on the seats that were closest to the performers.

        The uppermost section was referred to as “The God’s” and it offered a good view due to the steepness of the stairs.

        For lovers of photography this is a good place to visit especially during the morning or the late afternoon hours as there is an excellent natural lighting. If you visit the theatre at night you will find a place that is well illuminated with floodlights.

        This Roman theatre is open for those who want to visit the place and it hosts many local events like Al-Balad music festival.

      • Amman Citadel

        Citadel is another interesting site located at the centre of downtown Amman that one should visit in Amman.

        This area is found on the highest hill in Amman.

        It is surrounded by a one thousand seven hundred metre wall which has been rebuilt several times during the bronze and iron ages.

        Citadels’ most attracting sites are the Temple of Hercules, Ayyubid Watch Tower, Byzantine Church, Umayyad water cistern and the palace of Ummayad.

        Artefacts from the Bronze Age indicate that hill was a fortress for many years. There are two pillars that are the remains of the temple of Hercules.

        There are obvious remains which are parts of the podium and the columns that are visible from around the town. At the site you will find tombs, arches, stairs, walls and other historical structures.

      • Temple of Hercules
        It was built between 162 and 166 AD. According to an inscription, the temple was constructed during the reign of Germinius Marcianus between AD 162 and 166, when he was the governor of the province of Arabia.

        At the site you will find the remains of a statue, a hand carved from stones that is similar to the hand of Hercules.

        The remains consist of an elbow and three fingers. It is estimated that the statue was more than 12 meters tall.

        The statue is believed to be destroyed by an earthquake.

        The church was built between the 5th and the 6th century AD.

      • Jordan Archaeological Museum
        It is a small museum located in the Amman Citadel. At the site, you will find numerous antiquities from all over Amman and the country Jordan. The museum used to house pieces of Dead Sea scroll but now they are being moved to the new National Museum of Jordan.

      • Habibah Sweets
        It is a vegetarian friendly restaurant located in Marwan Madi Complex, Al Hazar Street, Amman.

        The restaurant is popular for offering delicious traditional sweets such as Konafa Baklawa, ice creams and cakes among many others.

      • The Duke's Diwan

        In Amman you will find the Duke’s Diwan which is a historic townhouse. It was built in the nineteen twenty four and has served as a post office, ministry of finance and a hotel. Today this house has been set with new era furniture by a famous Jordanian who is the prince of Mukhaybeh town. 

        Duke's Diwans is one of the best places to visit in Amman. It is a well preserved ancient structure that has remained unchanged even with modernization taking over major buildings in the city. The interiors and exteriors of this building are enchanting, and the surroundings as well.

        This house retains its original doors and windows that are from the early nineteen ninety’s and the furniture remains untouched leaving the visitors wondering how many historical figures ever walked on the same rooms.

        This Duke’s Diwan house will forever remain to be the paint of magical picture of a customary Levantine house. The house remains to be open daily after all in Arabic Diwan means “The guest’s place.”

      • Umayyad Monumental Gateway

        The palace is believed to have been constructed between 724 an 743 AD during the reign of Umayyad Caliph Hisham.

        The temple is located on the northern side of the upper section of Jabal Al- Qal’a. It served as the governors’ residence and administrative centre.

        The place has unique architectural design and plan and has three main sections:

        • An audience hall- it is well decorated with geometrical patterns that portray Persian style. The hall is well preserved with several renovations being made. In 1998 it was roofed with a dome. Its dimensions are 24X26m. It served as an entrance to the Palace complex. The hall is a popular archaeological site in Jordan and the most significant part of the remains of the palace. It is shaped in a Greek cross plan.
        • The second section is the central part of the palace which comprises of ruins of nine independent buildings.
        • The last section is an open ground with a large water cistern with a diameter of 17.5m and a depth of 5m. The cistern was used to supply water to the latrines and other buildings within the palace.

        • I went to this place almost every day when I was in Amman. Great service and a good environment. You will meet locals and almost everyone is friendly. Also you can get a great English breakfast for a good price!!
        • Nice view from the rooftop terrace. Good service. Good food.
        • Nothing fancy, but so nostalgic. Awesome place to end a tiring walk through Amman old city
        • Roof top looking at the Roman Amphitheater, having very good food, a beer, a few musicians playing and practicing, small bunny rabbits hopping around that and lots of laughter was our experience just the first night! Cannot stop smiling as I write this:)
