We were happy to support the Kalkallo Hotel after the big accident. It's still under construction in areas. I really enjoyed my meal, had a real homestyle feel to it!

After eating there I'll never return. Roast pork didn't look or taste like pork but stupidly I ate quarter of it. I had stomach cramps throughout the night which lead to vomiting and everything else that comes with possible food poisoning. Maybe a coincidence but I doubt it very much. Maybe with the loss of customers and money they haven't been throwing out old food. They need to overhaul their kitchen and hygiene practices. Such a pitty as they are lovely people but until they address the important issues being the food the pub unfortunately won't survive. Don't worry about the look of the outside as that can be fix, get the food right first then advertise a relaunch.

Prices have gone up up up since the car went through the building. Is it possible the owners put the price up to make up for loss business in the past? We used to go to this place all the time. We went again once it re-opened recently. This is the last time we will ever go. Very disappointed in everything. Quality of food went out the window. Never again. 1 star for food quality and the other star is for staff as they are friendly and welcoming.

Great food, good menu, all you can eat salad bar with your meal, extremely friendly staff. As another review said, typical country pub. You can't go wrong. The description is wrong, you list it as a hotel, as in with accommodation. This is not a place to stay, its a pub.
