Users Assigned: KazmiThe population of Bowling green is roughly around 30,000. It is a college town, the home of Bowling Green State University. Over 46% of the population is between the ages of 18 and 24. Therefore, a younger traveler will not hurt for entertainment from local coffee shops with world-class jazz to a lively nightclub scene, almost everything is within walking distance of the campus and the town is very easy to navigate.
Some of the things to not miss around Bowling Green include antique shopping, eclectic boutiques and shops, and in the summer months, the Black Arts Swamp Festival. BG hosts the national tractor pulling championships at the fairgrounds every August!
Bowling Green is home to Ohio's first utility-sized wind farm which supplies power to some 3,000 residents. The geography is very flat and conducive to wind technology. You can see the turbines for miles!
The library was just remodeled and is a spot of interest along with several historic buildings within the city whose main street is still similar in appearance to what it was almost 100 years ago.
