  Venice Beach, is situated between Santa Monica to the North, and Marina Del Ray to the South. Beside the board-walk you will find many unusual and intriguing shops, bars, cafes, street entertainers and sports facilities.
  
  These intriguing places attract intriguing people, and all manner of eccentric characters can be found, along with roller-bladers, cyclists, skateboarders and casual sightseers.
  
  Venice Beach accommodates many sports. Paddle tennis courts, basketball courts, a skatepark, and of course Muscle Beach, an outdoor gym, all attract participants and spectators alike.
  
  Featured in many movies it was also home to The Doors frontman, Jim Morrison, and his mural can be found painted on the side of his home.

• Marina del Rey

  Located on the Pacific coast southwest of Los Angeles. It's between Venice beach and Playa del Rey. LAX is easy access to this city - located approximately 4-5 miles from it.
  
  This city has many hip and up and coming restaurants and bars, and it is centrally located that you can walk to most of the Hotels, Bars, Restaurants and Venice Beach - known for Muscle Beach.
  
  Make sure to hit up the free concerts on Sunday afternoons in MDR, and also to hang out at the beautiful Marriott for a drink.
  
  Marina del Rey is also known for their Marina and it is usually filled with many small boats. There are many things to do here not only in the water, but also out of the water. Clubs, restaurants, bars, shopping as well as recreational paths and trails.

  The hotel is an iconic building overlooking the beach and pier. It has maintained its historic interior look, and has over fifty rooms and several suites. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately during our stay, one of the two elevators was out of commission, which made traveling to and from our room pretty tedious. The stairs aren't really all that accessible either as the stairway from each floor isn't directly connected--you have to enter each floor and then open a separate door to go down to the next floor. The repairs were pretty loud too, but overall not a big deal.

  Full disclosure I did not stay here but it seemed like a great place for breakfast/brunch and indeed it was. Food was fresh and tasty, service was great and staff friendly. Loved the Avocado toast!

  Had a good stay at Le Meridian and you can't beat a Group on deal. The air conditioner did not work in the first room we got but they sent help up immediately and switched us to a new room pronto.Room: pretty and clean, giant TV, fully stocked fridge and snack drawer, quiet from outside noise and air conditioner.cons- bed was too firm for me, the shower would not get hot and had light water pressure.Location: financial district, right next to a mall and lots of restaurants.

  I was charged for two nights and only stayed one. They told me over the phone that they had issued me a credit instead of a charge by mistake and that is why they double billed me. Turns out that they never issued a credit so no excuse for what they did. Watch your credit card statements! Had to file a fraud complaint with my bank. Not what you should have to do on vacation. Room was not ready at 3. Staff at front desk were rude. Was put in a room close to an antiquated elevator that was extremely noisy. One star is for the location which is good but the hotel itself is an epic fail
