As well as a destination in its own right, Glasgow is a great gateway to the west of Scotland, and Loch Lomand easily doable. There are plenty of impressive castles in the surrounding countryside. Also easy to visit the local distilleries at Auchentoshan & Glengoyne.

This particular room needed redecorating although I'm aware that the hotel is currently being renovated throughout. The staff are all great and breakfast is always lovely.
