      • New Hampshire
New Hampshire was the ninth state to ratify the U.S. Constitution, and was one of the original 13 states that founded the United States of America, but its history goes back even further than that. It was the first sovereign nation in America when it broke off relations with Great Britain in January 1776, and was also the first state to bring into effect its own state constitution. It is also known for being the only state which does not have a personal income tax or a general sales tax, and contains some of the most majestic New England landscapes in the entire United States. Known as The Granite State, New Hampshire is one of the most majestic states to visit, not only for its natural beauty and history, but simply for the experience.

Tourism is the main industry of the state, and its residents are extremely proud of their ecosystem and natural environment. The White Mountains are one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the United States, and boast some of the best ski slopes in the country during the winter months. Outside of those, the area is perfect for hiking and biking, and there are plenty of forests and rivers and lakes to keep you occupied outside the mountains.

However, New Hampshire is also a treasure trove of historical buildings, from the colonial settlement of Portsmouth to small village such as Keene. In addition, Dartmouth University resides within the state, and there are plenty of New England coastal areas to take advantage of as well. All in all, New Hampshire is one of the most picturesque states when it comes to the sheer beauty of North America, and visiting here at any time of year is considered a treat. The winters are a bit cold, but the frigid temperatures can easily be forgotten when standing against the backdrop of such epic history and amazing views.

      • Manchester
The largest city in Northern New England (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire) is home to the only Main Street in America with two dead ends. Near the top of the BosWash it is home to many people who need a city with close access to the beautiful New Hampshire countryside.

Often called Queen City or ManchVegas by locals it is the closest you'll get to city life in New Hampshire, but can still find friendly people and lots of interesting local businesses. There are many historic elements to the town and is a worth stop on any road trip as it was named "best small city in the east" by money magazine in 1998.

        • Completed my undergrad in 2014, in the middle of my graduate degree, about 4 classes left. I don't have much to complain about, the professors have mostly been great, and generally I feel like I'm learning something. The financial aid department, however, is run by a bunch of complete idiots, the women in the office are mostly competent, but the director should go work in fast food. I have not seen this level of incompetence since the military. Not a bad place to get an education, but avoid the FA office if at all possible.
        • Though I experienced technical difficulties due to moving during my masters program the staff and professors worked through it with me. Top rate professors that actually work in their field, I found was beneficial. Great people and I am looking forward to graduation.
        • BEWARE!!!!!!!! THEY HAND OUT A "SCHOLARSHIP" TO YOU THAT IS REALLY A HIDDEN PERKINS LOAN!!!!!!.... $2000.00 dollars... READ THE DESCRIPTION OF EVERY SCHOLARSHIP... I CALLED FOR A TRANSCRIPT AND 3 DAYS LATER THEY SENT THIS "SCHOLARSHIP" TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS!!!!... FINANCIAL AID TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FRESHMANS PLEASE PARENTS AND STUDENTS READ READ READ AND PREPARE FOR UNEXPECTED CHARGES!!!!!!!
        • At first I absolutely loved New England College, until I found out they are full of malarkey. It's like most places, you are important until we no longer need you. I have attended New England since January 2010 as graduate student. I have exhausted my student loans attending here because the tuition is very expensive. I recently finished all of my course thanks to Kevin Martin who assisted me with an issue I had. I was getting ready to repeat an entire class for one letter grade. Once the classes were completed;it's like I no longer exist or I am no longer important since my financial aid has ceased with my exit.. I can't get anyone to answer the phone or emails. I asked for job placement assistance because NEC advertises they will assist and the help I got was a link to an NEC website that offered me nothing. I am grateful to God I have graduated but sorry New England is the place I graduated from. I almost convinced my daughter to transfer here but I am glad I saw the realness of the organization before that happened. I am not saying every person that works here is cold and unfeeling but many of the ones that I have met are. I am soooooooooooo very glad I am done with New England and I pray they will begin to live up to the mission statement that's visible on their page. Thank you to the staff whose character live up to the mission statement.
        • Great faculty, outdated facilities, horrible food.
