• College Park

  College Park is an incorporated city in Prince George's County in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Officially established in 1945, the community grew up around the old Maryland Agricultural College that was founded in 1856. Today it is home to the main campus of the University of Maryland (the successor to the Agricultural College), the largest campus in both the state of Maryland and the Washington metropolitan region.
  
  Byrd Stadium and the Comcast Center on campus host the university football and basketball teams respectively. The Terrapins (or Terps for short) basketball team won the national championship in 2002. College Park is also home to a branch of the National Archives, the College Park Aviation Museum, and the National Museum of Language.

  Bowie is located about 17 miles from the center of Washington, DC. It is relatively to reach Washington from Bowie, which helps make it an appealing place to live.

• Takoma Park

  Takoma Park....a town recalling of its former glory days that reminisce upon the hippie movement of the 1960's and '70's with Sears and Roebuck style wooden Victorian houses lining her streets. A refuge between Silver Spring and the nation's Capital complete with its own hospital, police and fire stations in the most quaint, peaceful Azalea saturated paradise for its residents.
  
  The downtown section boasts several cute little craft, art and eccentric hobby shops. Takoma Park made a statement decades ago by declaring itself a "nuclear free" zone; a town nestled amongst the grand Oak and Maple trees lining the trails, parkways and many neighborhood streets. Two colleges grace the town sandwiched between low income apartments near the municipal center leading up to apartment-split houses and million dollar mansions lining the margins between Sligo Creek parkway and Carroll Avenue.
  
  Convenient with its own Metro Rail (subway) station boasting a unique flavor like no other. Bicycle paths line the valleys leading between Silver Spring and Langley Park...a peaceful, serene sanctuary like to other with the advantage of bordering the Nations Capital.

  I have stayed here a few times since November 2016 due to the close proximity to a friend that i visit, and have had no problems at all. I even got there at about 945pm one time and they still served me food from the bar happily, which was delicious and convenient being that i was on the road for 3 hours. They were redoing the floors last time I was there and it's looked great!! I will be staying there again soon and am sure to have the same great service!! Thanks!!

  There was plenty of available parking when we arrived, walking up to the front desk we were greeted by both people at the front desk were very professional and friendly. We decided to have a drink at the bar before dining in their restaurant. Since it was a slow night, the young woman at the bar also was acting as the server in the restaurant and she was a gem. The food prices were reasonable and the quality was surprisingly good as their prices were so low. They did not skimp on quality or size of their servings. One nice touch was while we were first seated at a table and she had run into the back to check on something for us, an individual came by asking if we were being taken care of and if we needed anything, including water. I told him that we were fine. But it was nice to see management paying attention to what is happening with their guests, it shows that they care. The room itself was large, very clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and it is very much appreciated. One touch I like is that the inner light at the door going on automatically by motion, which is great late at night so you do not walk into a dark room. There was a good size TV in the room, plenty of closet space and it had a nice appearance to it. The hotels provides a very nice buffet in the morning at no cost. Coffee, juices, eggs, bagels, potatoes, fruits and more. Check out took literally 20 seconds. I was greeted, asked my room number then told that was it! One last feature is the shuttle that they provide takes you to the metro station at no cost. It was a great stay, we will be back next year when we do an expanded visit to the area. Besides having free parking, which is a big perk in the DC area, there is a shopping center across the street with a Starbucks and an International Grocery Store! On our way out we visited both. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back.

  Picked this place for proximity to the metro, and that's all it's good for. It was all that was available for the inauguration. First given a room with a broken door jamb, and reception wanted to call their "engineer" to look at it. Then given a room on the top floor. Dated and mismatched furnishings, bathroom door wouldn't lock, and really patchy repairs. The room smelled musty with a hint of chlorine. The hall rug outside was badly replaced, with warping where it didn't fit well. Ugghh. Came back to the hotel at 11pm, and nothing was open, not even the "bar". If you're considering this hotel just do yourself a favor and pay $20 extra for a competitor.

  The rooms are nice and clean. Room service is good. Staff is good. Just a nice, standard hotel. Nothing special. Nothing bad either.

  A older hotel but well kept up . This is definitely the best hotel I have found in the area. Room are cleaned daily . The beds are comfortable. I would suggest going online and booking. It's cheaper than going to the front desk.
