• Windsor

  Sitting on the Canadian side of the Detroit River, Windsor has clear views of the downtown Detroit city skyline and is a major border crossing point between the two countries. Like Detroit, much of Windsor's economy has traditionally centered around automotive production, housing manufacturing facilities for Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. The city also plays host to Caesars Windsor, Canada's largest resort casino, which draws many visitors from the U.S. and other parts of Ontario each day.
  
  Ontario's drinking age (19) serves as a drawcard for plenty of young adults from the greater Detroit area to cross the border as well, injecting a lively atmosphere to the downtown core. Most nights are busy in the downtown/Caesars area, especially Thursday through Saturday, from spring to fall. Riverfront Festival Plaza, located on the waterfront, hosts many weekend festival events throughout the summer months.
  
  Windsor has a diverse ethnic population. Plenty of restaurants can be found that cater to most any type of food that you would want to eat. As the southernmost city in Canada, Windsor is also in close proximity to Point Pelee National Park, which extends into Lake Erie and is a popular bird sanctuary.

  This is a beautiful facility, however, signs inside and outside are awful: too small, handwritten, and dark arrows on dark backgrounds. Additionally, for the FIRST World Championship tournament, they had very little parking available. Most was closed.

  We went at this stop to get to and leave the auto show (2017). It was very helpful because it went inside the building and the pay booths were right off the escalators, so it was very convenient. Plus, it's fun and cheap :)
