Beautiful new living wall and foliage between the tracks. Station was redesigned by Ian Simpson (Beetham Tower architect) and better access for those with mobility issues. A short cut from Windmill Street makes it easier to get to from Oxford Street. New steps avoid the Deansgate Locks crowd in the evening which is a bonus. Sometimes hard to work out what platform your tram home is going to leave from though.

This refurbished station is great; spacious and beautiful with more plants and shrubbery throughout. The shelter design is rather poor as it won't properly keep the weather out especially if there's any gust of wind.

An odd station with a great tram links (across a new bridge) and a beautiful tilled internal area. However it's a station of walkways, with unforgiving platforms on a winters day and lots of trains whooshing by as they by-pass this non-priority station. It's a not of Manchester's biggest, either in terms of services or square footage, but it has some lovely internal architecture and some good bars nearby.
